The MCE builds bridges between the HPG and NYC community at large through strategic outreach efforts including social media engagement, community events, memberships drives, and mentorship opportunities. Our group is comprised of individuals who have expertise in areas including public health, research and evaluation, communications, strategic planning, and community outreach and engagement. For fun, we enjoy cooking, dancing, tennis, knitting and juggling, traveling, and making a positive difference in the world.
THE MCE AGENDA
• Planning, implementing, and assessing community engagement strategies
• Planning membership recruitment and retention efforts
• Reviewing membership attendance and participation
• Designing thought provoking multimedia content to engage diverse audiences in ongoing discussions about HIV and health equity
• Planning mixers, creating social media content that is thought provoking and continually encourage people to participate.
• Using our platforms to decrease stigma in the communities most impacted by HIV
